Iraqis to Bremer: "You're Not Welcome"

Our man in Iraq, L. Paul Bremer, today said the U.S. would leave Iraq if asked by the transitional Iraqi government that will assume the barest attributes of sovereignty on June 30th. "If the provisional government asks us to leave we will leave. I don’t think that will happen, but obviously we don’t stay in countries where we’re not welcome."

Perhaps Paul hasn't read the most recent poll of Iraqis commissioned by his own Coalition Provisional Authority.
